Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park with En-route Kigali City Tour

In the morning you will be picked up by our tour guide driver from hotel or Airport in Kigali, Rwanda for the drive to Volcanoes National Park (about 2 -3hours’drive). You will have an enroute Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site.

In the Afternoon, have lunch and later continue with your drive to Volcanoes National Park; Check into your chosen accommodation for dinner and overnight at;

Day 2: Gorilla Trek and Visit to Ellen DeGeneres Campus; Evening at Iby’iwacu Cultural Village

Upon rising, have an early morning breakfast and head to the Kinigi park headquarters by 7:00AM for briefing and registration before embarking on a guided trek to the gorillas in their natural habitat.

After this amazing encounter, return to your lodge with your tour guide, have lunch and step out for a visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus, gorilla conservation and research.

If not so tired, in the evening, visit the Iby’wau Cultural Village. You will Return to your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Hike to Dian Fossey Research Center; Return to Kigali for Departure

Have breakfast and return to the Kinigi park headquarters for briefing and registration, later, set off for the Dian Fossey Hike to the former Karisoke Research Center, established by Dian Fossey, and visit her tomb.

Enjoy a packed lunch during the hike and later, retrieve to the starting point for the Drive back to Kigali for drop off at a hotel or Airport.
