Day 1: Transfer t0 Volcanoes National Par, Gorilla Trek and Departure

Drive to Volcanoes National Park:

You will begin this adventure with an early morning pick up by our Company Tour Guide from either  a hotel or Airport in Kigali at 3:30AM for the journey to Volcanoes National Park; home to the endangered mountain gorillas. This journey is as scenic as it is exciting, with rolling hills and local villages dotting the landscape. Upon arrival at the park headquarters by 7:00AM, you’ll receive a briefing from experienced rangers who will prepare you for the trek, including etiquette and safety guidelines.

Gorilla Trekking Expedition:

Following the morning briefing and registration, you will embark on the Gorilla Trek Expedition. The trek itself varies in duration depending on the gorilla family you are tracking, but one can expect to hike for anything between 1 to 6 hours. You’ll traverse through varied terrains, from bamboo forests to open clearings. Every step brings a new layer of the forest to life, with bird calls and the rustle of wildlife surrounding you.

Upon finding a gorilla family, you’ll spend one magical hour with them, watching their interactions and daily routines. This intimate encounter is conducted with the highest respect for the gorillas and their natural environment, ensuring a sustainable and ethical experience. Take as many Photographs and Mini Videos as you can.

Return to Kigali:

After this wonderful Encounter, you’ll return to the park headquarters and then proceed with the drive back to Kigali.
