Day 1: Transfer t0 Volcanoes National Par, Gorilla Trek and Departure

You will begin this adventure with an early morning pick up by our Company Tour Guide from either a hotel or Airport in Kigali at 3:30AM for the journey to Volcanoes National Park; home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Upon arrival at the park headquarters by 7:00AM, you’ll receive a briefing from experienced rangers who will prepare you for the trek, including etiquette and safety guidelines.

Gorilla Trekking Expedition:

Following the morning briefing and registration, you will embark on the Gorilla Trek Expedition. The trek itself varies in duration depending on the gorilla family you are tracking, but one can expect to hike for anything between 1 to 6 hours. You’ll traverse through varied terrains, from bamboo forests to open clearings. Every step brings a new layer of the forest to life, with bird calls and the rustle of wildlife surrounding you.

Upon finding a gorilla family, you’ll spend one magical hour with them, watching their interactions and daily routines.
