Day 1: Birding at Botanical Gardens and UWEC
Following your breakfast, you will begin this adventure with an early morning departure from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Firstly, head to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, a serene oasis teeming with birdlife. Here, amidst the lush greenery and exotic flora, you’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of bird species, including colorful sunbirds, kingfishers, and weavers. Our experienced birding guide will lead you through the gardens, pointing out rare and endemic species as you explore.
Once done with the morning birdwatching exercise, you will then proceed to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC), where an array of indigenous bird species awaits. Set against the backdrop of Lake Victoria, UWEC provides the perfect setting for observing waterfowl, raptors, and migratory birds.
